The role

Serve as a Dam Safety Engineer/Subject Matter Expert for hydropower projects, focusing on inspections, assessments, and risk analyses of dams and water-retaining structures.
Perform analyses, evaluations, and designs; develop design options with supporting calculations and prepare contract documents (drawings, specifications, design criteria, and cost estimates) for rehabilitation or new works.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across civil, structural, geotechnical, geological, hydraulics/hydrology, and mechanical disciplines; provide project leadership, QA/QC, and mentorship.
Support FERC dam safety regulatory activities, including DSSMPs, DSSMRs, STIDs, and Part 12D inspections.
Contribute to risk assessments for dams and hydraulic structures; address unique elements with limited or no code-based guidance.
Travel as needed for inspections/meetings; demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, and a commitment to quality, teamwork, and innovative problem solving.
