The role
The Associate General Counsel provides high-level legal representation and advisory services to the university community on complex matters in the higher education sector.
Drafts, negotiates, and reviews sophisticated transactional documents and commercial agreements for diverse university offices.
Counsels on regulatory compliance under federal and state law, ABOR policies, and university policies.
Represents the institution in negotiations, administrative proceedings, and legal disputes; collaborates with outside counsel as needed.
Conducts legal research, analyzes legislation and policy, and evaluates implications for university operations and risk management.
Assists in developing preventive law programs and delivers training for administrators, faculty, and staff.
