The role
A Principal Clinical or Counselling Psychologist is responsible for leading psychological assessments, implementing evidence-based therapies, and supervising team members within a mental health service focusing on early intervention for psychosis. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, supporting trainee psychologists, and contributing to research and service development. Candidates should possess a recognised HCPC registration, with optional BABCP accreditation or willingness to pursue it, and preferably have training in CBT for psychosis. The position involves working closely with other psychological professionals, participating in clinical audits, and supporting continuous professional development. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills are essential to effectively manage and develop the psychological services offered.
