An AI and Machine Learning Engineer develops scalable AI and deep learning systems, trains models using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, and collaborates with data engineers on data pipelines and preprocessing. They deploy models into production environments, create APIs and microservices, and monitor performance to ensure models function effectively over time. The role involves testing, fine-tuning, and retraining models, alongside documenting workflows and maintaining compliance with data governance and ethical standards. They communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and stay updated on the latest AI research and advancements. The position requires strong programming skills in Python, Java or R, proficiency with ML frameworks, and knowledge of cloud and MLOps tools for deployment and scaling. A solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, algorithms, and data structures, plus experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills are necessary, and a relevant degree in computer science or a related field is typically required.
