The role
The Legal Compliance Officer supports an organisation's legal and compliance functions across multiple jurisdictions, implementing compliance programs, monitoring adherence, and providing risk-based legal advice. This role involves ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards, legal regulations, and internal policies, including GDPR and anti-bribery laws. The incumbent will identify and mitigate legal risks, produce training on legal issues, and participate in audits to maintain compliance readiness. Building relationships with stakeholders and contributing to ESG initiatives are key responsibilities. Candidates should possess a law degree, legal membership, and experience in compliance frameworks and international standards. Strong knowledge of ISO standards and legal risk management is essential, with a focus on enhancing compliance culture.
