The role
The Environmental & Sustainability Engineer supports a large manufacturing site by maintaining the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 50001 Energy Management System, ensuring compliance with UK environmental legislation. The role involves managing environmental permits, conducting audits, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sustainability. The engineer collaborates with internal teams, contractors, and regulators to oversee environmental aspects such as waste management and incident investigation. They develop policies, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for enhancing environmental standards across the site. The position requires a degree in Environmental Science or related engineering discipline, along with experience in manufacturing environmental compliance.
