The role
A Legal Counsel is responsible for managing complex legal challenges related to market data, intellectual property, and vendor agreements. They provide legal advice to executives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation. The role involves negotiating commercial and licensing agreements, handling disputes, and supporting data protection and privacy compliance, particularly under GDPR. They develop legal policies, manage legal risks, and assist in strategic initiatives to support product growth and operational efficiency. Candidates must have 3-5 years of PQE with experience in technology, data, and vendor contracting within a regulated, international context. They should possess strong negotiation skills, legal expertise in IP and data law, and the ability to operate independently, influencing senior stakeholders.
