The role
The Senior AI Platform Engineer oversees the design and implementation of infrastructure strategies supporting large-scale AI and machine learning programmes. This role involves providing technical leadership across compute, data, model lifecycle management, and platform engineering, ensuring secure, scalable, and production-ready AI solutions. The engineer collaborates with research, product, infrastructure, data engineering, and MLOps teams to create platforms for training, evaluation, deployment, and governance of AI models. Responsibilities include managing AI platform roadmaps, designing high-performance environments, optimising workloads, and leading innovations in knowledge graph infrastructure. The role requires extensive experience with GPU infrastructure, distributed training, cloud services, and orchestration tools, alongside proven leadership in complex technical environments. Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of AI architecture and infrastructure are essential for successful delivery.
