The role
The Substitute Sign Language Interpreter provides on-demand interpretation support for student learning and communication in classrooms.
Must hold a valid New Jersey Educational Interpreter certificate or demonstrate proficient sign language interpretation skills.
Responsibilities include accurate real-time interpretation during instructional activities, meetings, and related school events.
Requires successful completion of a criminal background check and BOE approval for substitutes.
Compensation is $46 per hour, with work on an as-needed basis.
Applicants must apply specifically through the Applitrack system.
