The role
A Technical Delivery Manager based in Derby is responsible for leading the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware and software product development, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing overseas manufacturing partners, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality physical products and software solutions. The role entails overseeing supplier management, aligning hardware and software deliverables, and proactively mitigating technical risks throughout various build stages, from prototyping to mass production. Skills required include extensive experience in managing IoT or connected product projects, particularly in Asian manufacturing contexts, with a strong understanding of embedded firmware, hardware lifecycle management, and supply chain logistics. The candidate must be able to work full-time onsite, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and have proven capability in managing complex NPI processes. Technical expertise in firmware, microcontrollers, and manufacturing processes, combined with effective leadership and organisational skills, is essential for success.
