The role
Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring alignment with scope and specifications.
Interpret drawings and specifications to define required work, materials, and pricing.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to collect pricing and assess feasibility.
Review subcontractor and supplier bids for competitiveness and accuracy; update estimating databases and libraries.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options to optimize budgets.
Present estimates in client meetings and support budget discussions with clear, actionable recommendations.
