Plumber Multi-Trade Operative

A self-employed plumber multi-trade operative is sought to work on social housing repairs and maintenance in Portsmouth. The role involves carrying out plumbing, carpentry, tiling, bathroom and kitchen installations, and related works, often independently managing daily tasks. The candidate must have extensive knowledge in both plumbing and carpentry, including fixing leaks, fitting sanitary ware, and tiling, as well as painting and decorating. Skills in soldering and working with non-licenced asbestos alongside external works are required, with training provided for asbestos removal. The position requires a responsible individual with a clean driving licence, good material knowledge, and ability to liaise with supervisors and other trades. Successful applicants will be DBS checked, and the job offers van and fuel card, with PAYE options after three months.
