The role
Lead the mechanical design of large custom automation equipment from concept through installation and commissioning.
Own machine architecture, layouts, welded frames, motion systems, and tooling with hands-on leadership.
Create 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks; apply GD&T and manage tolerance stack-ups.
Develop and release Bills of Materials (BOMs) and build documentation for fabrication and assembly teams.
Collaborate with controls, project management, and operations; support commissioning and troubleshooting.
Interface with customers to clarify system requirements and ensure compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards.
