The role
A Speciality Doctor provides high-quality medical care to patients with complex mental health needs, working closely with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, and therapists. They participate in developing and implementing personalised treatment plans and conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical and psychiatric conditions. The role involves ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care while maintaining accurate medical records in line with hospital policies. The doctor also engages in clinical meetings and contributes to service improvements, ensuring compliance with mental health legislation and regulations. Applicants must hold an MBBS or equivalent degree, GMC registration, and specialise training in psychiatry or a related field. Experience working with personality disorders and commitment to professional development are highly valued.
