The role
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and telecom environments, including transformers, generators, and conduit—on-site at Fort Irwin.
Read blueprints, schematics, and maps to determine steps and ensure code-compliant installations per NEC and local codes.
Bend conduit manually or with electric benders and operate power tools safely, maintaining a clean, safe work area.
Document diagnostics, testing results, and actions; perform testing with voltmeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes as required.
Must complete an apprenticeship and hold a current California Journeyman Electrician Card; able to pass a federal background check for military base access.
Willingness to commute to Fort Irwin; strong problem solving, teamwork, and safety compliance throughout all projects.
