The role
Conduct time and motion studies to analyze work methods, equipment utilization, and overall efficiency. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Design production layouts, considering workflow, ergonomics, and safety. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline communication and develop SOPs to ensure consistency and quality. Apply statistical methods and data analysis to identify opportunities and monitor KPIs for continuous improvement. Assist in planning and implementing new production lines or facility upgrades, perform root cause analysis, and train staff on new processes.
