The role
Serve as a service-minded construction attorney within an in-house team, focusing on contract drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment.
Review and negotiate construction and related contracts with minimal supervision while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Collaborate with project managers and leaders to align legal considerations with business objectives and to mitigate risk.
Advise safety, finance, IT, and HR teams on legal and legal-adjacent issues, and deliver trainings to non-legal personnel.
Lead negotiations with sophisticated counterparties, understand owner, subcontractor, and contractor perspectives, and manage vendor relationships.
Maintain multiple projects with tight deadlines, coordinate with paralegal support, and provide practical, actionable risk mitigation strategies.
