The role
The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) leads the university-wide compliance program to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and university policies.
Develops and implements a risk-based program, coordinates compliance efforts across academic, administrative, and research units, and reports on program effectiveness to senior leadership.
Oversees regulatory oversight for FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, HIPAA, NCAA, ADA, and related requirements, partnering with stakeholders to assess and mitigate institutional risk.
Designs and delivers regular training for faculty, staff, and students to promote ethics and accountability across the university.
Leads investigations into reports of non-compliance or misconduct, maintains confidential reporting channels, and prepares periodic reports for the Board and executives.
Leads policy development and review, provides guidance on risk mitigation, and collaborates with committees and external agencies as needed.
