The role
The compliance officer is responsible for promoting a compliance culture within the organisation and embedding regulatory principles into operations. They identify risks and develop controls according to regulatory frameworks, while managing change initiatives related to legislation. The role involves providing advisory support to various departments on compliance matters, preparing reports for governance committees, and supporting assurance reviews and FCA SM&CR administration. Candidates should have at least three years' experience in UK motor finance compliance, with knowledge of FCA sourcebooks and consumer credit law. Preferred qualifications include an ICA Diploma in Compliance, and the position requires excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills.
