Programme Lead Data Governance Consultant

The Programme Lead will oversee the delivery of an organisation-wide Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) capability, working closely with senior data, digital and data protection leaders. They will manage activities related to ROPA tooling, implementation, data quality, governance, and organisational adoption, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection standards. The role requires assessing existing ROPA solutions, identifying gaps, and leading procurement or enhancements to technology. They will develop strategies for programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and training, ensuring successful organisational rollout and ongoing maintenance. They must have significant experience delivering data protection and governance initiatives within the public sector, with strong programme management and stakeholder engagement skills. The successful candidate will operate effectively at senior levels, capable of translating complex requirements into practical solutions.
