The role
A Specialty Doctor in anaesthetics provides care for elective and emergency surgical cases across multiple disciplines including obstetrics, general surgery, and orthopaedics, within a busy hospital environment. The role involves contributing to the on call rota which covers intensive care, labour ward, and emergency procedures, with shifts typically lasting 12 hours. Candidates should possess relevant clinical skills and experience in anaesthetic procedures, including ultrasound-guided techniques and pain management. The post offers a 10 session (PA) contract including professional development and revalidation commitments, supported by modern equipment and a multidisciplinary team.
