The role
A Mechanical Engineer is sought to support infrastructure design, assessment, and maintenance for a critical sector in Helensburgh. The role involves specifying technical solutions, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and analysing infrastructure ageing mechanisms. Candidates should possess broad mechanical engineering experience, knowledge of design standards, and strong communication skills. The position requires an HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, with additional experience in nuclear or high hazard industries being beneficial. The engineer will contribute to safety and operational effectiveness, supporting the technical capability of the Design Authority. The role offers the flexibility of remote work with occasional site visits to Helensburgh.
