The role
An environmental engineer is sought to join a team overseeing environmental compliance, development of management plans, and stakeholder engagement across defence programmes. The role involves developing and maintaining environmental documentation, supporting technical integration, and influencing lifecycle material choices. Responsibilities include audit support, review of engineering changes, and facilitating environmental governance. Candidates should possess a relevant engineering or scientific degree, defence environmental management experience, and UK security clearance eligibility. The role requires good organisational skills, knowledge of environmental legislation including UK MOD standards, and experience in environmental hazard assessments. The position offers flexible on-site work, a 6-month contract with possible extension, and operates within a multidisciplinary team environment.
