The role
Oldham RLFC seeks a Lead Physiotherapist to oversee physiotherapy services for the First Team, providing assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports injuries. The role involves delivering evidence-based rehabilitation, coordinating return-to-play strategies, and working closely with coaching and medical staff to enhance athlete welfare. Candidates should possess a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, HCPC registration, and CSP membership, with experience in musculoskeletal injury management and sporting environments. Technical skills include injury assessment, clinical reasoning, and record-keeping, alongside effective communication and team collaboration. Personal qualities valued are commitment to player welfare, injury prevention, continuous learning, and flexibility for evening and weekend work. Additional postgraduate qualifications and rugby league experience are desirable to strengthen applications.
