The role
The position involves representing the Provost in academic discipline hearings before the University Tribunal and advising university clients on issues related to academic discipline. The incumbent conducts legal research, drafts legal documents such as pleadings and affidavits, and prosecutes cases of significant importance. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle high-volume casework are essential in this role. Expertise in administrative law, litigation, and prosecutorial practices is required, along with familiarity with higher education policies. The role requires independent judgment and collaborative engagement within a legal team environment.
