The role
Perform daily reinsurance accounting activities, including transaction recording, reconciliation, and ledger maintenance.
Interpret complex reinsurance contracts and operationalize them under applicable accounting standards (US GAAP, Bermuda STAT, Schedule S).
Develop, implement, and enforce internal policies for reinsurance financial operations and ensure timely billing and collections from reinsurers.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances; provide leadership with actionable insights and improvement recommendations.
Conduct routine reconciliations, maintain strong internal controls, and support internal/external audits with documentation.
Collaborate across functions using process maps, data analysis, and analytics tools (Excel, RMS, AIR, Business Objects, Power BI) within an Agile project framework.
