The role

A Research Associate position in Birmingham is available at UNSW, focusing on materials science and energy harvesting research. The role involves developing and applying test and measurement protocols for biopolymer-based energy harvesters, including electrical treatments such as DC poling and corona charging. The successful candidate will assess electro-mechanical coupling and characterise energy harvesting devices under real-world conditions, supporting experimental setup automation and data analysis. They are expected to work collaboratively across disciplines, contribute to scholarly outputs, and demonstrate technical proficiency in electrical characterisation and polymers. The role requires a PhD in a relevant field, with experience in electrical measurements, device characterisation, and circuit design essential for success.
