The role
The position involves creating accurate estimates and quotations from customer enquiries, utilising specialised software and conducting material and labour take-offs. The role requires calculating manufacturing hours, preparing cost budgets, and collaborating with engineering teams to meet revenue targets. Building strong relationships with clients and providing technical support are key aspects of the job. It also includes negotiating prices with suppliers and participating in meetings to ensure quality service delivery. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in fabrication, sheet metal, or pipe fitting estimation, along with proven sales expertise and engineering knowledge.
