The role
Lead and optimize daily freight forwarding operations across air and ocean shipments, directing workloads and ensuring accurate documentation, compliance, and on-time billing.
Coach, train, and cross-train station staff, and ensure required trainings are completed on schedule while promoting safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with sales, management, and internal teams to respond promptly to customer needs and implement corrective actions when issues arise.
Monitor KPIs daily, including AES filing, on-time billing, and overall cost controls; support district leadership in P&L monitoring.
Build and maintain relationships with local vendors, truckers, and airline carriers to secure reliable, cost-effective logistics solutions.
Oversee warehousing needs where applicable, ensuring capacity and processes meet station requirements, while driving proactive problem solving and continuous improvement.
