The role
A Senior Software Engineer (Python) is responsible for owning and enhancing a production options trading system that operates during market hours. They will develop and refine real-time market data pipelines, optimise performance using profiling techniques, and improve system reliability, including handling data staleness and fault tolerance. The role involves working closely with the founder and engineering team on system architecture, deployment, monitoring, and incident management to ensure stability and performance. Candidates should have extensive experience with Python, real-time systems, messaging, and low-latency optimisation, and be comfortable with ownership of live systems under strict performance criteria. The position requires the ability to support core market hours and is suited for engineers with proven experience in performance-critical, real-time environments.
