The role
A chemical process engineer is responsible for designing, optimising, and evaluating chemical production processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality. They analyse process performance to identify possible improvements and develop technical documentation, process specifications, and reports. The role involves supporting plant trials, commissioning, and validation, as well as investigating issues and implementing corrective actions. Monitoring safety, quality, and operational efficiency are integral duties, alongside collaborating with various teams. Candidates should have a relevant degree, professional experience, and skills in process design, analysis, and safety. Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills are essential, with professional engineering credentials being advantageous.
