The role
Represent the county in civil litigation, administrative and enforcement matters across state and federal courts.
Handle tort claims, contracts, employment law, civil rights, and code enforcement issues.
Draft pleadings, motions, case reports, and negotiate settlements with a focus on favorable outcomes.
Conduct legal research, interview and depose witnesses, and present cases at trials, hearings, and arbitrations.
Advise county departments, elected officials, boards and commissions on legal rights and responsibilities.
Maintain active Oregon State Bar status, and demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and leadership in a team-oriented environment.
