The role
An electrical maintenance engineer performs reactive, predictive, and planned maintenance on industrial electrical systems within a site environment. The role involves diagnosing and repairing faults on motors, drives, control panels, and other plant equipment, utilising technical skills with PLCs, sensors, and instrumentation. The engineer maintains comprehensive records using CMMS software, adheres to safety procedures including LOTOTO, and follows OEM schedules and documentation. Collaboration with mechanical engineers, contractors, and operational staff is essential to minimise downtime and improve plant performance. The position requires proven experience with industrial electrical systems, relevant qualifications, and the ability to prioritise and respond effectively to emergencies. Technical expertise and safety consciousness are critical to support continuous operational improvements and plant reliability.
