The role
A fire door carpenter is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining fire-rated doors on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role involves measuring, cutting, assembling, and fitting door components using a variety of tools, as well as reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Candidates should have NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry, a Blue CSCS Card, and experience with fire doors or general carpentry work. Flexibility in working with other trades and good knowledge of building codes related to fire safety are essential. Attention to detail and safety procedures are critical for delivering high-quality, compliant results. The position is based in Northampton and involves in-person work on diverse construction sites.
