The role
The University of Birmingham is seeking a Professor of Statistics to enhance research, teaching, and interdisciplinary opportunities within the School of Mathematics. The role involves delivering strategic leadership in Statistics and Data Science, developing innovative degree programmes, and securing external funding. The postholder will contribute to a dynamic research environment, supervise PhD candidates, and engage with external bodies such as professional societies and industry partners. They are expected to have an outstanding record of research, leadership qualities, and a commitment to community engagement and academic citizenship. The position is full-time, permanent, and offers a competitive salary for an outstanding candidate.
