The role
Produce and edit original news stories for a Spanish-language audience, with emphasis on storytelling and accuracy.
Record interviews, conduct live and field reports, and craft compelling scripts under tight deadlines.
Operate cameras and editing software to capture high-quality video and audio and publish content to digital platforms.
Develop story ideas through beat sourcing, build community relationships, and maintain a robust contact network.
Collaborate with the News Director, Executive Producer, and other reporters to ensure fair, balanced reporting.
Adapt to a 24/7 news environment, work flexible hours, and represent the station at events or as host when needed.
