The role
Develop and report on neighborhood-focused stories through interviews, research, and on-location observation.
Shoot and edit video and stills for broadcast and online platforms, using newsroom systems and Final Cut Pro or similar tools.
Write clear, AP-style copy that follows editorial standards and fits the assigned slant and format.
Deliver live or taped reports from the scene and collaborate with photographers and online staff to support multimedia storytelling.
Assist the news producer and online team in preparing newscasts and multi-platform packages under tight deadlines.
Maintain a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed in field work.
