The role
Manage the conflicts clearance process for new business intake, assessing potential conflicts of interest to protect clients and the firm.
Perform conflicts checks, review reports, and collaborate with attorneys to resolve issues and obtain necessary due diligence.
Draft and analyze engagement letters and waiver letters, and implement ethical walls and other legal screens as required.
Monitor changes in ethics rules, ethics opinions, and case law related to conflicts of interest and professional responsibility.
Provide guidance on conflicts of interest and intake policies, and assist with special projects and cross-functional requests.
Qualifications include a Juris Doctorate (JD), U.S. bar admission, and 5+ years of experience in conflicts or professional responsibility.
