The role
Join a multidisciplinary team to develop electro-mechanical medical devices for histology workflows, with emphasis on reliability and manufacturability.
Responsibilities include generating part and assembly drawings, supporting production and QA, drafting work instructions, and ensuring FDA and SOP compliance.
Modeling and simulation across dynamic, kinematic, structural, and thermal analyses to guide design decisions.
Design for manufacturing and manage Engineering Change Notices to improve manufacturability and quality.
Source and manage vendors for prototyping and production, and create test fixtures with data acquisition systems for development and qualification.
Qualifications: Bachelor's in Mechanical/Aerospace/Biomedical Eng, 2+ years in mechanical design, SolidWorks proficiency, Python/MATLAB/C++, additive manufacturing experience, and strong communication; on-site in Hawthorne, NY.
