The role

Assists in examination, treatment and care of patients in a hospital emergency department under the supervision of a physician. Provides non-diagnostic, non-invasive support to physicians and nurses, including patient triage, vital signs collection, patient transport, and room preparation. Assists with procedures by preparing the room and patient, passing instruments, and supporting sterile technique; may help with wound care, dressing changes, and specimen collection. Performs venipuncture for laboratory testing and manages basic equipment readiness and daily inspections of emergency department tools. Requires EMT certification or U.S. Military Medical Corpsman training, plus BLS and CPT1 phlebotomy certification within specified timelines. Must be able to work a variety of shifts, lift and move patients and equipment, and maintain professionalism and compassionate care in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
