The role
Lead the month-end close as the primary point of contact, ensuring GAAP-compliant financial records through review of complex journal entries and reconciliations for a large serviced portfolio; review and approve technical journal entries and monthly reconciliations including financed receivables, intercompany statements, and revenue recognition. Collaborate with FP&A and other teams to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses across multiple business segments. Prepare and communicate ad-hoc and routine management reports; research accounting guidance and propose technical accounting treatments. Validate and support the creation of accounting and financial models for revenue and cost recognition; assist external and internal auditors during reviews and audits. Drive process improvements and assist with ERP system upgrades for loan servicing and accounting; supervise staff while remaining hands-on and autonomous.
