The role
A Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Hessle is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS cloud environments that support various business services. The role involves working with internal teams to ensure cloud platforms are secure, resilient, and cost-effective, focusing on automation, migration, and governance. The engineer will develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, and support cloud migration projects. They will monitor cloud performance, troubleshoot issues, and create documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. Collaboration with security, infrastructure, and application teams is key to delivering robust cloud solutions and evaluating new AWS services. The position requires strong AWS expertise, hands-on experience with IaC tools, scripting skills, and an understanding of cloud security and compliance.
