The role
Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope to determine materials, labor, and equipment required for commercial construction projects in Dallas.
Prepare accurate cost estimates, considering materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor bids, permits, and other project-related expenses.
Perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations, using estimating software to generate precise estimates and track project costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions, ensuring pricing aligns with project type, location, and market rates.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to refine estimates and support budget development and cost control.
Develop subcontractor RFPs, review subcontracts, and support project handoff to the Project Manager/Superintendent team.
