The role
The Lead Pharmacist is responsible for developing and implementing medicines management policies and procedures across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. The role includes overseeing audits, providing training, supporting meetings, and managing senior-level relationships to facilitate policy adoption. Candidates should have extensive pharmacy knowledge, leadership experience, and stakeholder management skills, with a background in medicines governance and compliance. Experience in ophthalmology and NHS management are desirable. The position involves significant line management duties and acting as the Controlled Drug Accountable Officer, with full-time remote working and national travel. A GPhC registration and at least five years' experience are required, with a salary of up to £78,000 depending on experience.
