The role
A fully funded training course in Birmingham offers a practical, in-person programme focused on videography and video editing skills, using professional equipment and real instructor-led teaching. Participants learn Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, cinematography techniques, and audio integration, culminating in a portfolio piece for employment purposes. The 16-week course is scheduled on Wednesdays and Saturdays, providing hands-on experience in lighting, gimbal operation, and campaign planning. Successful graduates can pursue roles such as videographer, video editor, or content creator, supported by active employment marketing and career coaching. Eligibility is restricted to residents of the West Midlands, earning below a set threshold, aged over 19, with basic IT skills, and not enrolled in other government-funded training. This programme distinguishes itself from online courses by offering real deadlines, small groups, and professional settings, ensuring participants finish with confidence and employable skills.
