The role
A geo-environmental engineer supports the planning, supervision, and execution of ground investigation works across various sites. The role involves preparing health and safety documentation, managing project data, and producing detailed reports such as Geo-Environmental Desk Studies and Interpretative Reports. Candidates are expected to have relevant academic qualifications and practical experience in ground investigation, environmental assessment, and reporting. Technical skills include soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring, and the use of logging software like HoleBASE along with basic GIS and drawing tools. A strong understanding of health and safety regulations and project management is essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance. Excellent organisational, communication, and analytical skills are required, along with a full UK driving licence.
