The role
A renewable electrician works within installation teams to deliver high-quality solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems, focusing on safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. They perform wiring, testing, commissioning, and certification of electrical systems, including AC/DC wiring, inverters, and associated components. The role requires competency in inspection, fault finding, and documentation using digital tools and software. Candidates must possess relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition wiring regulations, inspection and testing certification, and a valid ECS/JIB Gold Card. Experience in installing renewable energy systems, especially solar PV and EV charge points, is highly desirable.
