The role
Serve as the gatekeeper for ethical and professional integrity by evaluating potential conflicts of interest in the new matter intake process.
Provide in-depth legal analysis of relationships, draft waivers and disclosures, and determine whether conflicts are waivable.
Collaborate with requesting and responsible attorneys to obtain necessary information and secure appropriate approvals.
Document conflict resolutions clearly, maintain accurate matter files, and ensure compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Research best practices in conflict checking, advise on communications with clients and firm personnel, and support policy updates.
Operate in a hybrid environment with frequent cross-functional interaction and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced setting.
