The role
A food factory operative is responsible for operating processing equipment, conducting quality checks, and maintaining hygiene standards in a high-tech food manufacturing environment. The role requires understanding safety procedures, meeting production targets, and handling ingredients up to 25kg. Skills in using computerised machinery and food safety knowledge are advantageous, with preferred but not essential qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing or Basic Food Hygiene certification. The position involves working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with 12-hour days and nights. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and committed to safety and quality standards. The role offers overtime, holiday entitlement, canteen facilities, and on-site parking. Good teamwork and adherence to food safety and health guidelines are essential for success.
