The role
As a Chemical Engineer intern/co-op at a refinery, you will learn process equipment fundamentals and best practices while developing critical thinking and cross-disciplinary understanding.
You will contribute to dedicated refinery areas under mentorship, gaining exposure to multiple process units and integrating knowledge across engineering disciplines.
Typical projects include leading test runs to optimize operations, performing process calculations, and evaluating catalyst or adsorbent performance.
You may also participate in operations planning, blending, scheduling, and refinery economics to support informed decision-making.
You will develop written and verbal communication skills through reporting, presentations, and collaboration with a professional team.
Qualifications include pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree, strong academic performance, US work authorization, a valid driver's license, and availability for multiple terms.
